A flame‑chart overview renders at the top of the Timeline tab, above the waterfall span rows.

What it shows

The flame chart gives a compact, proportional overview of the whole trace — nested bars sized by duration and colored by transaction category — so you can spot the widest (slowest) paths at a glance before scrolling the waterfall.

How to use it

• Click a block in the flame chart to select that span; the waterfall scrolls/expands to it and the Span Detail panel updates.
• Use it as a minimap: find the widest branch, then read the detailed rows below.
