Introduction

This section of the document explains how to view the details related to the topology map such as node information, link, source and target information.

Node

To view the node details:

  1. Navigate to Infrastructure > Topology Maps.

  2. Select a resource from the drop-down list.
    The topology map is displayed with the base resource you selected and its neighbors including the connections, based on the Depth level.

  3. Click on a node to view the information such as Make, OS, IP Address, and other details.

Note: Limited information is displayed for non-monitorable resources.

Following are some of the attributes that appear on the slide-out:

Entity TypeType of the entity.
Operating SystemType of OS of the resource.
IP AddressDetails of the IP address.
MakeMake of the resource.
ModelModel of the resource.

You can also:

  • View number of alerts, tickets, and Notes related to the node.

  • Launch remote session and view resource details from the slide-out.

  • View Related resources, Custom attributes, traits, and Apps.

  • Perform actions such as Assign Credentials, Schedule Maintenance, Add Note, Unmanage, or delete a node.

    View node information

With the node expansion feature, you can expand each node individually. Double click a node to expand. This feature significantly enhances user experience, improves performance, and provides a more scalable and customizable approach to visualizing complex relationships.

To view the link details:

  1. Navigate to Infrastructure > Topology Maps.
  2. Select a resource from the drop-down list.
  3. Click anywhere on an arrow to view link details like Overview, Source, Target, and relationship.
