Introduction

Mist stands for “Marvis Intelligent Service Technology,” which is the name of the AI-driven engine that powers the solution. Juniper Mist provides organizations with an end-to-end wireless network infrastructure that includes access points, switches, and a cloud-based management platform. The solution uses artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to optimize network performance, automate troubleshooting, and enhance the user experience.

Juniper Mist’s AI-driven engine can detect and analyze network issues in real-time, enabling IT teams to quickly identify and resolve problems before they affect users. Additionally, Juniper Mist provides organizations with analytics and insights into network performance, enabling them to make data-driven decisions to improve their wireless network infrastructure.

Discovery

Available resources under Juniper Mist are as follows:

• Juniper Mist Organization - An organization in Juniper Mist is a logical grouping that allows for managing and segregating network resources within the Mist platform.
• Juniper Mist Site - A site refers to a physical location or facility where network devices are deployed and managed within the Mist platform.
• Juniper Mist Switch Cluster - A switch cluster refers to a group of interconnected switches that are managed and operated as a unified entity, providing high availability, scalability, and simplified management for the network infrastructure.
• Juniper Mist Switch - A switch refers to a network device that connects multiple devices within a local area network (LAN), providing connectivity and forwarding of network traffic.
• Juniper Mist WLAN AP - A WLAN access point refers to a device that provides wireless network connectivity to client devices, allowing them to connect and communicate over a wireless local area network (WLAN) within the Mist platform.
• Juniper Mist Edge Gateway - An edge gateway refers to a network device that acts as an entry and exit point between a local network and external networks, providing secure connectivity, routing, and firewall functionality within the Mist platform.

Configure the integration

1. From All Clients, select a client.

2. Navigate to Setup > Account.

3. Click on the Integrations and Apps tile.

4. If there are apps/integrations already installed, it will redirect to the Installed Integrations page where all the installed integrations/apps are displayed. Otherwise, the Available Integrations and Apps page is displayed.

5. Click +ADD and search for Juniper Mist app using the search option. You can also use the All Categories dropdown to search.

6. Click ADD on the Juniper Mist tile. The Add Juniper Mist page is displayed.

7. Enter the below mentioned information on the ADD JUNIPER MIST page:

   Functionality	Description
   Name	(required) Enter the name for the configuration.
   Organization Id	(required) ID of the organization.
   Token	(required) Enter the authentication token.
   Confirm Token	(required) Re-enter the authentication token.

• ALL: All the existing and future resources will be discovered.
• SELECT: You can select one or multiple resources to be discovered.

9. In the DISCOVERY SCHEDULE section, select Recurrence Pattern to add one of the following patterns:
   • Minutes
   • Hourly
   • Daily
   • Weekly
   • Monthly
10. Click FINISH.
    

The integration is now installed and displayed on the INSTALLED INTEGRATION page. Use the search field to find the installed application.
