Introduction

HPE Serviceguard is a Hewlett Packard Enterprise product that helps protect mission-critical applications from hardware and software failures. With HPE Serviceguard, multiple nodes are organized into an enterprise cluster that is capable of supporting a highly available, virtualizedapplication environment. HP Serviceguard for Linux is a high availability solution that brings the best-in-class mission critical HP-UX technologies to the Linux environment and ProLiant servers. It is designed to protect applications from a wide variety of software and hardware failures, monitoring the health of each server (node) and quickly responding to failures including system processes, system memory, LAN media and adapters, and application processes. Serviceguard for Linux enables customers to cluster HP ProLiant server family of products with shared storage from HP Smart Array Cluster Storage, HP StorageWorks Virtual Array and HP StorageWorks in a 2-node SCSI or 2 to 16-node Fibre Channel configuration.

Discovery

Discovers the HPE Serviceguard components. The components include HPE Serviceguard Cluster, HPE Serviceguard Node, HPE Serviceguard Node Interface, HPE Serviceguard Package , HPE Serviceguard Package Dependency , HPE Serviceguard Volume Group and HPE Serviceguard File System.
Publishes relationships between resources to have a topological view and ease of maintenance.

Monitoring

Provides metrics related to usage and availability
Generates alerts when metric thresholds are breached to notify administrators of potential issues.

Previously, resource filters in the app configuration required manual entry of resource core and custom attributes. With this enhancement, the configuration is moved to OpsQL-based filtering, where users can see the keys auto-populated as needed.
