Cisco UCS combines industry-standard, x86-architecture servers with networking and storage access into a single unified system.

Step 1: Create a credential

  1. Select a client from the All Clients list.
  2. Go to Setup > Accounts > Clients.
  3. On the client’s Credentials tab, add the credential information.

Step 2: Configure the integration

  1. From All Clients, select a client.
  2. Go to Setup > Integrations > Integrations.
  3. From Available Integrations, select Compute > Cisco UCS and click Install.
  4. Enter:
    • Name
    • IP address
    • Credentials. Select an existing credential or create a new credential.
  5. Click Save.

Step 3: Add a discovery profile

  1. From the integration, click Add.
  2. Enter:
    • Profile details
      • Profile name: Name of the profile.
      • Profile: Profile available from the drop-down menu. These are the available gateways for the client. Be sure that the selected gateways is up and running.
      • IP address: Host name or the IP address provided from the installation.
    • Filter criteria: Required for smart or resource filter types.
    • Perform actions: Manage Device option.
    • Discovery schedule. Based on the settings, discovery is triggered based on the scheduled time. New resources added to the environment are automatically discovered.
  3. From the Discovery Profiles section, click Scan Now for the profile.

Next steps

After a discovery profile is created, you can do the following:

  • View the integration: Go to Infrastructure > Resources.
  • Assign monitoring templates to the resource.
  • Validate that the resource was successfully added.
