AWS Database Migration Service (replication instance) is a web service that is used to migrate data from your database to a database on an AWS service.

Your database can be one of the following:

  • On-premises
  • An Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) DB instance
  • An Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instance

These services can include a database on Amazon RDS or a database on an Amazon EC2 instance. Additionally, you can:

  • Migrate a database from an AWS service to an on-premises database.
  • Migrate data between heterogeneous or homogeneous database engines.

Use the OpsRamp AWS public cloud integration to discover and collect metrics against the AWS service.

Setup

To set up the OpsRamp AWS integration and discover the AWS service, go to AWS Integration Discovery Profile and select Replication Instance.
