Introduction
HPE GreenLake for Data Services API provides common capabilities used by a number of HPE GreenLake services including Disaster Recovery and Private Cloud Business Edition.
HPE GreenLake for Data Services offers a RESTful API for capabilities common to the following APIs: Backup Recovery, Public Cloud Business Edition and Virtualization.
The event integration between DSCC and OpsRamp uses webhooks for real-time event forwarding and centralized observability. Storage events that are surfaced to the CUSTOMER and NOT auto-ticketed are handled by OpsRamp.
Events are instantly pushed from DSCC to OpsRamp, enabling customers to manage alerts effectively and benefit from a more unified experience.

DSCC customers who would want to get alerts for different storage devices and also want to perform alert and incident management, auto-remediation, and receive timely notifications.
Use Case: Centralized Event Management
Customer has storage devices of different types such as file, block, object, data ops stores.
Alerts are generated for certain volumes on these storage devices.
Centralized Visibility:
- Customer wants to view events for all the device types at one place for ease.
- Customer wants to view events for all the device types at one place for ease.
Take action on storage alerts:
Customer wants to acknowledge critical alerts from block storage device bs-1.
Customer wants to suppress warning alerts from file storage device fs-1 for 30 min as they are not business impacting and un-suppress later.
Desired Customer Experience
- User installs Data Services and OpsRamp in the same workspace.
- User configures Data Services integration within OpsRamp, for different storage and event types.
- Data Services Storage Events appear in OpsRamp’s alert console.
- The user can click on these alerts to take appropriate actions such as acknowledging, suppressing, create incidents, or running automation.
