A management profile refers to a profile that helps you manage discovery of resources.

To add a discovery profile, you need to create a management profile. This topic describes how to create a gateway management profile.

Creating gateway management profiles

To create a new gateway management profile:

  1. Go to Setup > Resources and select Management Profiles.
  2. Click Create New and enter the client name or select the name from the drop-down list.
  3. Select Profile Type as Gateway and provide a profile name. The naming convention typically should match the device type.
  4. (Optional) Give a brief description of the management profile.
  5. Click Submit.
    A new window, View Management Profile, opens and display details for the gateway management profile.
  6. After you create the management profile, activate the gateway.
  7. Follow the steps given on the screen to activate and register the gateway.

A management profile of the gateway is created.
