Introduction

RBAC enforcement in Topology Maps ensures that users can view and interact only with resources they are authorized to access.

  • If the user has no access to a resource(s), the values are replaced with an Access restricted message.
  • Alert counts and availability are disabled to prevent unauthorized interactions.

The following example shows the resources for which the user does not have access to:

The resource type, host name, make, and model are not displayed, as the user does not have permission to access the resource(s).

  • Hovering over the node displays Access restricted and No data available.

  • Clicking on the node displays a message Resource Not Found in the slide-out.
