RBAC and Visibility

Introduction

RBAC enforcement in Topology Maps ensures that users can view and interact only with resources they are authorized to access.

If the user has no access to a resource(s), the values are replaced with an Access restricted message.
Alert counts and availability are disabled to prevent unauthorized interactions.

The following example shows the resources for which the user does not have access to:

The resource type, host name, make, and model are not displayed, as the user does not have permission to access the resource(s).

Topology map - no access to resource

Hovering over the node displays Access restricted and No data available.
Clicking on the node displays a message Resource Not Found in the slide-out.
