Introduction
The HPE Homefleet Storage integration enables OpsRamp to discover and monitor HPE Homefleet Storage clusters and their associated components. This integration is a next-generation enterprise storage platform from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) designed for modern data-intensive workloads. It uses REST APIs and Prometheus metrics endpoints to provide comprehensive visibility into storage cluster health, capacity, and performance across all resource types including clusters, nodes, enclosures, filesystems, switches, JBOF IOMs, disks, and internal boot drives.
The following helps you get started.
- To explore monitored metrics, see Supported Metrics and Default Monitoring Configuration.
- To verify prerequisites and configure, see Working with HPE HomeFleet Storag.
Key Use Cases
Discovery Use Cases
- Discover and inventory HPE Homefleet Storage clusters and all child resources.
- Map parent-child relationships between clusters, nodes, enclosures, filesystems, switches, JBOF IOMs, disks, and boot drives.
- Collect hardware attributes including serial numbers, firmware versions, model numbers, and IP addresses.
- Refer to the Resource Hierarchy for detailed structure.
Monitoring Use Cases
- Monitor cluster and filesystem capacity metrics (logical/physical usages, savings ratio, savings bytes, inodes).
- Track filesystem I/O performance via Prometheus (latency, throughput, bytes read/written).
- Monitor resource availability status (operational state, readiness).
- For complete details on monitoring metrics, see see Supported Metrics and Default Monitoring Configuration.
Supported Target Versions
- HF OS Version 2.0.0.1-1094478
