Each application running in the standard environment has an instance class which determines its compute resources and pricing. The memory and CPU limits of instances varies by the runtime generation.

Second generation runtimes are:

  • Python 3.7 and 3.8
  • Java 11
  • Node 8
  • Node.js 10 and Node.js 12
  • PHP 7.2, PHP 7.3
  • Ruby 2.5
  • Go 1.12+.

First generation runtimes are:

  • Python 2.7
  • Java 8
  • PHP 5.5
  • Go 1.11
